Rant: the guy at the Rio Rancho Lowe's talked me out of a $300 tile saw and I owe him
Stopped by the Lowe's off Unser about 3 weeks ago to grab a wet saw for my bathroom reno, and this older guy in the tile aisle asked what I was cutting. When I told him it was a 40 sq ft floor job, he said "rent the $28 one for a day and put the rest in your membrane, that's where the leaks come from." I did exactly that and the floor came out flat with no cracks so far. He didn't work there either, just some retired setter killing time. Anyone got a go-to employee or rando who saved you from a dumb buy at one of the ABQ stores?
