Am I the only one who thinks the swamp cooler swap can wait until after the monsoon?
Every spring I watch folks on my street in the Heights yank out their swamp coolers and drop $6,000 on a fridge unit before the end of April. Then July hits, the humidity climbs, and those same units are working overtime while my old cooler is doing fine on the dry days. I get the appeal of not climbing a ladder twice a year, but rushing the job in March and April just means paying peak prices when every crew in town is booked. My neighbor Rico waited until September last year and got the same install for almost $1,800 less because the shop was slow. What month are you all pulling the trigger on your cooler changes?
