Just realized I was wrong about testing every zone after install, here's what flipped me
I used to skip the full zone walk test on small residential jobs to save time, figured if the panel powered up and the keypad showed ready, it was good. Then I did a 2,400 sq ft house in Mesa with 14 zones and the homeowner called me back 3 days later saying the back slider never triggered. Turns out a wire got pinched during drywall and I never caught it because I didn't walk the zones. That call took me 2 hours of driving and troubleshooting for something a 10 minute test would have caught. Now I walk every single zone, even on a 4 sensor garage job. What's your cutoff for skipping a full test, or do you always do it?
