Paper logs to tablets, still chasing the same signatures

Back in 2018 at the hangar in Tulsa, I used to carry a grease-stained binder for every A check. Last month, the new kid handed me a tablet and asked where the digital sign-off goes. I showed him, but I also pulled out my old binder from the truck just to compare. The forms are faster now, sure, but I still double-check every entry like it's going to the FAA in a cardboard box. Any of you old timers keep a paper backup for your own records, or am I just stuck in my ways?
