Vent: AI photo editing turned my vacation pics into a cartoon

I tried an AI app to fix my vacation photos, and it made them look all weird and cartoonish. The colors got way too bright, and some faces ended up stretched out. I really don't get how the AI picks what changes to make. Does it just copy what's popular on social media? It's kinda annoying because I liked the photos how they were. Lol, this makes me think AI innovations in creative stuff might be missing the point. Have you guys seen AI tools do similar strange things?

Tbh, AI missing the point on creative stuff just shows how it makes simple things too hard every day.
