My kettle boiled dry and left a rust ring that honestly looks like a sunset over water
I forgot about the kettle on the stove last Tuesday and it boiled dry for who knows how long. When I finally pulled it off, the bottom had this orange and brown ring from the rust, with a lighter band in the middle. It seriously looks like a sunset over a lake, and my wife wants to hang it on the wall instead of throwing it out. Has anyone else kept a ruined kitchen thing just because it ended up looking cool?
Used to roll my eyes at stuff like that, figured a messed up pot is just trash. But my mom kept an old pan with a burn mark that looked like a bird and honestly it made her happy every time she saw it. So yeah, if the ring looks like a sunset, hang it up, your mileage may vary on how the wife feels in a year though.
