My old recipe site from 2002 is still chugging along
I built a small recipe collection site back in 2002 for my family's holiday dishes. It is still online but I haven't updated it since 2010. What surprises me is people still leave comments on recipes like my grandma's pecan pie. Have any of you found old personal sites that still get traction from visitors?

Did your recipe site get a boost from Pinterest or just old search traffic?

Hold on, let's not act like a comment on a pecan pie recipe from 2002 is some kind of internet phenomenon. I mean, it's probably just one or two people a month who found it by typing "how to not burn pecans" into Google. In my experience, most of those old sites are just hanging on by a thread because Google's algorithm forgot to delete them. Your grandma's pie might be great, but I doubt it's driving a million visitors or anything. The people leaving comments are probably just nostalgic grandkids looking for their family's exact recipe, not a big crowd. It's cool it's still up, but let's not blow it up into a whole "traction" thing. Your mileage may vary, but that's my two cents.
