I used to bookmark every fun site I found, now I just take a screenshot and forget it
I was digging through my old browser bookmarks from around 2009 and found 47 sites I had saved, and about half of them still load fine even though nobody has touched them in a decade. Back in the day I kept a whole folder for weird hobby pages and checked them pretty often, but now when I stumble on something like a fan page for vintage radios, I just screenshot it and move on. I think phones made me lazy about it, since there is no real bookmark bar to fill up on my phone. The screenshot pile is useless because I never look at it again, while the old bookmarks actually still take me somewhere interesting. Part of me wants to start saving links again, but I am not sure if it would just turn into another pile I ignore. Does anyone here still keep a proper bookmark folder, or has everyone moved on to something else?
