The day my 28.8k modem ate my graduation photos
Back in '96 I was uploading my sister's graduation pics to a GeoCities page from my parents' den in Akron. About halfway through the second image, the phone rang and the whole connection dropped, no resume option back then. I had to redo the whole album at 3am using a download manager that could pick up where it left off, took 4 hours for 12 photos. Anybody else lose precious files to a rogue phone call on a shared line?
