I spent two weeks in 1999 trying to find a fan page for an old band (the Angelfire one with the spinning guitar gif) and kept hitting 404s on every archive link. Turns out the trick is putting 'id_' right after web.archive.org/web/ before the full timestamp, and it pulled the page up on the first try, so has anyone found a better way to grab the actual image files once you get there?
